A global information services company with 20 million square feet of data centers and office space retained Capstan Advisors to manage an RFP process to outsource the management of its facilities, projects and transactions to a single service provider. Team members worked with the managers of the operating divisions to reconcile  requirements and better integrate with the selected service providers. The qualifications and bid process, which included extensive site due diligence visits was entirely run by Capstan. The RFP Process Management project resulted in one provider for global facilities and projects and one provider for transactions management.

For a global technology manufacturer, team members managed three separate outsourcing projects for transactions and project management.  The first project was in London, then Hong Kong and finally the U.S.  Our role was to coordinate the internal teams involved, qualify the service providers, and manage each RFP process in six months or less. The successful projects transformed the company’s real estate services capability, and allowed CRE management to focus on key strategic issues instead of tactical delivery.

Capstan managed a global outsourcing for facilities and project management services, including writing a scope of services and RFP, running the bid process, and assisting in contract negotiations. We visited the client’s industrial facilities in China and interviewed local representatives of global service providers to better craft an outsourcing solution that would address the client’s specific needs there. We helped streamline the evaluation process and fast tracked the contract negotiations working with the in-house legal team. The process resulted in a signed contract within six months of project start.
